Senior QA Engineer
What you’ll be doing
Working closely with the Director - QA, you will help build out the test practice at PassFort. A key member of 1 or 2 multi disciplined squads (Development, Product, UX/Design etc), you will ensure all released code has been thoroughly tested. Utilising both manual and automated test techniques to achieve both speed and quality of delivery.
As the sole QA, responsible for all aspects of quality with your assigned squad(s), you will be expected to:
Assist the squad to deliver frequently, with a high quality
Involved throughout the product life cycle ensuring requirements are clear and seeking clarification when necessary
Clearly document any issues found and ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner
Create test plans/test charters to both guide manual testing and re-use as regression tests to complement the automated test suites
Own the test coverage for your squad(s), being proactive in managing coverage; updating, adding or deleting tests as appropriate to give good coverage balanced against fast test feedback.
Aiming to achieve a nearly zero high or medium priority bugs into production
Be a key promotor of quality work practices for your squad(s), throughout the development lifecycle.
What we’re looking for
Hands-on manual exploratory and scripted testing
Ability to use logging and monitoring tools to verify results of manual tests and capture details for bug/issue reports
Creation and maintenance of E2E tests suite utilising Cypress or similar
API testing using Postman
Coding experience ideally using Javascript and/or Python
Comfortable with GIT and managing test codebases
Good experience of turning complex product requirements into clear and robust tests
Minimum 3 years test automation experience, creating tests scripts from scratch
Good hands–on knowledge of API testing
Understanding of shift left test approach
Solid experience of manual testing. Understands when to script and when to utilise exploratory techniques to support the most efficient test approach
Experience of testing 3rd party data integrations via API would be greatly beneficial
